I am going to Barbados on August 2nd for two weeks and will not be posting anything during that time. So, my absence is not an indication of some sort of disaster. I will, however, have access to comments.
Have a great time. One of the only two existing of Cromwell’s canons is there, the other in Leeds. And George Washington got smallpox there aged 19 thereby obtaining immunity which served him well in the War of Independence.
Some of the all-time-greats of world cricket were Barbadian, The West Indies also produced some of the greatest test cricket teams. Also rum and spicy Habanero chilis come to mind about that Island; I’d likely be dining on the likes of Red Snapper, or lobster and rice and peas (though I wouldn’t be drinking rum).
